This past week I took a dive into producing some Middle Eastern soundtracks. I started with one and enjoyed it so much I followed it with three more compositions by the end of the week! I've been using traditional instruments from EastWest Sounds and the new BBC Symphony Orchestra along with live instruments to produce these tracks. On one of the songs I even added in my first guitar which was a gift from my Dad when I was 9 years old. It's an inexpensive little "Western Auto DelRay" acoustic that actually sounds quite horrible to my ears now. It has some serious "twang" to it but worked great as a background sound on one these new compositions. My Neumann KM84 microphone pair captured the twang quite well and when I tripled tracked it and mixed it down it helped bring out a live feel to the track.

Really enjoying getting into the Fall/Halloween season and writing and recording some new Halloween Commercial tracks. My latest is a tune called "Spooky Halloween Is Here Once More". It features an orchestral sound track that I created with me singing the vocals (tracked several times to make it bigger and thicker). I think it's a fun, catchy Halloween tune that kids of all ages will enjoy. Hoping to have it available for sale on AudioJungle.com soon.

I continue to add new cartoon sounds to AudioJungle and I'm especially excited about adding sounds from "Cartoon Katie". What a perfect, cute young cartoon voice.

I have enjoyed writing and recording some original easy-listening acoustic guitar driven tracks in the last couple of weeks. If you're looking for a laid-back acoustic guitar that’s perfect for setting a romantic, sentimental, or mellow tone then this track is a good suggestion.
It's ideal for photo slideshows, family movies, wedding videos, commercials, or any project needing an upbeat but relaxed vibe.
Recorded using a Santa Cruz 1934 OM Grand with Neumann KM84 Vintage microphones.

I'm working with a couple of new tools in my studio that I'm thrilled about. The first is the AEA N22 Nuvo Ribbon Microphone. I love how warm and natural this microphone is. It sounds great on anything you throw at it and is especially finding a home with my voice over work. I also recently began using the Triad-Orbit Microphone Stand products. Holy Cow! This stuff is great! Yes, it's pricey but it's so well made and speeds up my work process so much. I highly recommend both these items.
My latest kick has been producing instrumental children's music. I've recently added some additional sounds to my arsenal such as Vienna Instruments Percussion sounds and Vienna Instruments Brass Sounds. I'm especially enjoying the muted trumpet sound.. These sounds have enhanced my ability to make my tracks pop with a fun & "kid-like" feeling.
